Service Chiefs: Position of Presidency On Resolution By The Senate – Femi Adesina

Mr. Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, today responded to the Resolution passed by the Senate on the Service Chiefs.

Mr. Adesina said: “The Senate Tuesday adopted a resolution calling on the Service Chiefs to resign or be sacked due to the multi-pronged security challenges in the country.”

“The Presidency notes the resolution, and reiterates that appointment or sack of Service Chiefs is a Presidential prerogative, and President Muhammadu Buhari, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, will do what is in the best interest of the country at all times.” He concluded.

  1. The National Assembly, I mean the two chambers should re-engineer their communications process to engender good and friendly relations between both arms of government. Lack of proper conduct in communications, particularly in presentation can destroy the very good essence of the subject matter.
