Echoes of my past
My past inflicted
Pains on me
Leaving a cracked
Wall in my life
Through thick and thin
I’ve strived to stitch
The cracks on the wall
Let my past be a clay
That would mould me
Into a better being
Let the echoes of my past
No longer be heard
Let my past be as silent
As a graveyard
Let the memories of my past
Be captured and thrown into thrash
For that is where it belongs
Let the flaws of my past
Be stitched back together
With good intentions
Let the ashes of my past
Be drenched by rain droplets
Let there be a new dawn
Of beautiful beginning
Let my heart be filled
With courage and love
For there is no pouring
From an empty jar!
